Ronald Dean Durfey

Ronald Dean Durfey Sr, 69, of Henryville since 1996, passed away at 2:10 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.
Born June 3, 1943, in Hamberg, Iowa he was the son of Kenneth O. Durfey & Lola May (Livingston) Durfey. He was a 1961 Graduate of Farragut High School in Farragut, Iowa.
On June 3, 1970 in Whitbourne, Newfoundland, Canada, he married Cynthia E. Durfey who survives in Henryville.
Ronald retired from the U.S. Navy after 18 years of service, He also worked at House-Hold Movers, and for T.D.S.I at GE in Louisville, KY in inventory and orders.
Other survivors include three children, two sons, Dennis Lee (Karen) Durfey of Whitbourne, Newfoundland, Canada; Ronald Dean (Laurie) Durfey of Taylorsville, KY; two daughters, Anette Verge, Newfoundland, Canada; Alicia Kay (Shannon) Whitcomb of Jaytown, KY; five grandchildren; and one brother, Dwight (Connie) Durfey, of Shawnee, KS.
His Parents and one brother Larry Durfey preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville. Cremation Rites will be accorded after the funeral service.
