Rebecca Ann Lorimor

On February 26, 1953 in Shenandoah, Iowa a daughter, Rebecca Ann was born to Bert Gibson and Marie (Bertram) Lorimor. Becky entered into eternal peace on December 22, 2020 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska surrounded by her loving family.
Becky's early years were spent on a farm south of Farragut. The family then moved to Spring Valley Farm north of town. She attended Farragut Community Schools and graduated with the Class of 1971. She furthered her education at Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Nebraska where she received an Associate’s Degree in Horticulture. After college she moved to Sidney before relocating to the Houston, Texas area where she worked for a college roommate who operated a small animal veterinary clinic. Southwest Iowa was always special to her, so she returned home to Iowa and resided in Shenandoah to be near her family.
Throughout the years Becky worked for several different companies including the Fremont County Treasurer's Office, Nishnaland Seed, and Nishna Productions. She loved working with her NPI clients. Declining health led Becky into an early retirement. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Nishna Valley Saddle Club and also was a Horse Project Leader through 4-H.
One of Becky's passions was her love of horses. She also enjoyed the hobby of leather working. She made many belts for family and friends. Her nieces and nephew held a special place in her heart. She loved attending their school events and sporting activities. She was also known to give the referee or umpire a piece of her mind, if she thought they had made a bad call. That was Becky, she called things like she saw them and was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and uncles. Those left to cherish her memory include her brothers Steve (Kathy) Lorimor and Brent (Kathleen) Lorimor; nieces Amanda (Trent) Moore and Jessica (Ben) Carter; nephew Brady Lorimor; grand-nephew Colton Moore; grand-nieces Malea Moore and Leanna Carter; uncle and aunt Stanley and Shirley Schaaf; other relatives and a host of dear friends.
